Since 1976, the Dexeus Mujer Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus has been recognised as a teaching unit within the National Internal Medicine Residency Programme (MIR). A pioneer in its field, this unit has trained over 200 specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology, firmly establishing Dexeus Mujer as a leading institution in specialised medical education.
Among its flagship programmes, Dexeus Campus offers the Master’s Degree in Reproductive Biology and Assisted Human Reproduction Techniques, now in its 27th year and recognised as the first official master’s degree in this field in Spain. The centre also offers the Expert Diploma in Reproductive Techniques, which has been refined over 14 years to meet the need for specialisation in this increasingly sought-after field.
In the field of diagnostics, the Gynaecological Diagnostic Imaging Unit launched the Master’s Degree in Gynaecological, Obstetric and Breast Ultrasound two years ago. Designed for nurses, radio-diagnostic technicians and advanced diagnostic imaging specialists, this programme combines theoretical instruction with in-depth clinical practice under expert supervision. This unit, which performs more than 50,000 gynaecological examinations annually, offers an ideal environment for developing advanced technical skills in a real-world clinical setting.
In addition to these programmes, Dexeus Campus continues to expand its portfolio with new training activities and continuing education courses. These initiatives, which include the option to complete a training stay at our centre, respond to the growing demand for specialisation and professional development in women’s health. They also reaffirm the Dexeus Mujer Foundation‘s commitment to excellence in education and innovation in the fields of obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive medicine.
