As of mid-February, Dexeus Mujer has taken over the management of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department at the Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya (HUGC), located in Sant Cugat del Vallès. To this department, Dexeus Mujer has added assisted reproductive services and other specialised services it currently offers in Barcelona.

Dexeus Mujer aims to replicate its care model in Sant Cugat del Vallès, including annual check-ups, pregnancy monitoring, childbirth care, emergency care, gynaecological conditions, complex surgeries, genetic counselling, sexuality and contraception consultations, diagnostic and surgical hysteroscopy, diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, menopause care, gynaecology care for children and adolescents, fertility preservation and gynaecological oncology

Dexeus Mujer also plans to implement its teaching and scientific research programme in order to develop doctoral programmes, clinical research projects and phase II and phase III clinical trials at the Hospital General de Catalunya. It also plans to teach master’s degrees, use the Hospital General de Catalunya as a clinical rotation and internship centre for medical students and become eligible to offer residency training.

The Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya (HUGC) belongs to the Quirónsalud group, with which Dexeus Mujer already has partnership agreements at the Hospital Universitari Dexeus de Barcelona and the Hospital Quirónsalud del Vallès.
