Hands-on course in laboratory techniques

Mostly practical and personalised course aimed at deepening the learning of the blastocyst biopsy technique in order to optimise results.

Individualised “one student, one teacher” training and tailored to the level of experience.

A certificate is awarded at the end of the course.

Courses taught entirely by teachers from Dexeus Woman with Specialist Certificate in Assisted Human Reproduction. Clinical Embryology of ASEBIR / Senior Clinical Embryologist by ESHRE.

Aimed at embryologists with a minimum of previous experience in the manipulation of embryos, gametes or cells, who wish to learn or perfect the technique.

Day 1:

• Theoretical aspects.
• Practicalities:
  • Preparation of the biopsy plate.
  • Placement of micropipettes on the inverted microscope.
  • Laser operation.
  • Trophectoderm biopsy.

Day 2:

• Practicalities:
  • Placement of micropipettes on the inverted microscope.
  • Trophectoderm biopsy.

Days 3 and 4:

• Practicalities:
  • Placement of micropipettes on the inverted microscope.
  • Trophectoderm biopsy.
  • Tubbing of biopsied material.

Possibility to perform blastomere and/or polar corpuscle biopsy at the request of the student.

4 days (8 h / day).

Timetable:
8:30 h – 13:30 h (attendance to the laboratories for observational practices).
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Hands-on practices).
