Edgardo Somigliana graduated in Medicine in 1994 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. In 2006, he completed a PhD in Prenatal Medicine. Since 2001, he is working as a clinical physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Fondazione Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, Italy. Since 2012, he is the Head of the Infertility Unit and the Obstet-Gynecol Emergency department of the hospital. Since 2016 he is also Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi of Milan, Italy. He has been Deputy Editor of the journal Human Reproduction from 2012 to 2018. He is now deputy editor of Human Reproduction Open. His major scientific interests are infertility and endometriosis. He is author or co-author of more than 390 articles in international journals and has an h-index of 62 (Scopus).
